A purpose built recovery vehicle complete with latching harpoon, which can be sent into a pipe to recover a JME Pipeline Crawler if it becomes jammed or disabled.

Available as a model for both the 6:CR2 and 10:CR2 systems.

Even with the very best equipment, on heavily regulated projects, there is the possibility of a Pipeline Crawler becoming inoperable within a pipe. The recovery vehicle can be sent into a pipe to recover the Pipeline Crawler if it becomes damaged or disabled. Whether caused by a mechanical/electrical fault or debris within the pipe, the crawler must be retrieved manually, the Recovery Vehicle is designed for this purpose.

The retrieval system comprises of two parts.
• the Retrieval Vehicle
• the Harpoon

The harpoon is fitted to the recovery vehicle using centering sliders and its height adjusted to line up with the recovery ring on the Pipeline Crawler. The unit is then placed into the pipe and activated to start retrieval. A cable is fitted to the eye on the end of the recovery vehicle to enable the crawler and retrieval system to be winched from the pipe.
