Company Profile
Based in Lowestoft on the east coast of England, JME Ltd was formed in 1986 for the purpose of developing and manufacturing a range of specialist non-destructive inspection systems for sale worldwide, and to engage in the design and development of systems and equipment for one-off or unusual inspection and quality control projects.
The company began with a product base of JME pipeline X-ray and gamma-ray crawlers and subsea CCTV systems. JME pipeline crawlers soon gained an excellent reputation as being reliable, cost-effective, and extremely versatile; and the subsea CCTV systems were widely accepted for use in the harsh environment of the North Sea diving and ROV operations.
The product range expanded to include the unique JME portable high energy X-ray Betatron, now available with outputs of 6 MeV and 7.5 MeV. With its thick section capabilities, portability and minimal power supply requirements the Betatron is widely used by many different industry sectors.
Work on the crawler range continued, the addition of the JME CXT180 X-ray tube improved the performance in the 6-18” OD range with additional tube options expanding the capabilities still further. Early 2002 saw the introduction of a 3” Gamma Crawler and 2003 introduces retro-fitable non-isotope control to the larger crawler systems. The JME range is now able to provide a solution for pipe diameters from 3” to 72”.
The JME product range also includes radiation monitoring and warning equipment, microfocus X-ray systems for laboratory and medical applications, compact neutron generators, real-time X-ray systems, battery powered pulse X-ray systems, and a variety of ultrasonic and other NDT test equipment.
With certification to ISO9001, standard product or custom, JME Ltd has the expertise to ensure your project's success.
